In 1996, Bill left the office equipment leasing industry to form his own consulting business. Starting with one phone in the basement of his home, he founded Alliance Financial Group to educate his clients on the financial aspects of buying office equipment.
The startup operation continued to grow and was rebranded as Smartdot in 2002. Around the same time, the company moved its headquarters to 95 East Pine Street in Zionsville, Indiana. The following year, Jeremy Leitze and Josetta Caudill joined the team. In 2003, the Smartdot database revolutionized the dot management process. Today, it is an integral part of our comprehensive service.
"Year of Yellow" - A bright yellow Hummer joined our fleet in 2004 and lemon-y Smartdot shirts soon followed. Today, the Smartdot brand is synonymous with this sunny shade.

We're growing. Our team has expanded to ten members and our client list gets longer each day. Franchising is on the horizon. The ride has been exciting so far and we anticipate an exciting future.
